Let's Talk Lifejackets!

As the New Year dawns, we are fortunate to have secured the PowerPoint® presentation on personal flotation devices developed by CDR Kim Pickens and the Boat Smart project of the US Coast Guard.
"Let's Talk Life Jackets!" is a 45-slide presentation that focuses on one thing only...personal flotation devices! Included in the presentation is a 22 slide PFD virtual fashion show that shows the wide variety of PFDs now available in the marketplace and reinforcing the idea that there really is no one that cannot find an attractive and practical personal flotation device that can and should be worn for every boating activity.
If we were successful in convincing EVERY recreational boater to WEAR a PFD EVERY TIME they were afloat, we could probably cut recreational boating deaths each year by over half!
The presentation can be downloaded in either the normal format for use in stand-up presentations at any and all Public Education activities or in a timed and looped version should you wish to utilize "Let's Talk Life Jackets!" in a kiosk, at ramp days or when you have a booth set up at a boat show.
We encourage you to download and use "Let's Talk Life Jackets!" and expand the Auxiliary's preventive SAR mission.
